Hello! A little bit about myself: I grew up in Washington state (the land of coffee and rain). After earning a B.A. in Biology from Covenant College, I attended the University of Alabama Dental School, where I received my doctorate degree in Dental Medicine (D.M.D). I stayed in Alabama for three more years and earned a master’s degree (M.S.) in Oral Biology and a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics.I have been practicing orthodontics in the PNW for the past 11 years where I had two office locations, incredible staff, and many wonderful patients.
My wife, Dolly, and I have been married for 20 years. Together, we have two daughters, two sons, two dogs…and also a thing for symmetry (LOL). As a family, we love to go to concerts, play cards, wake surf, snow ski, and cook together. I also have a passion for BBQ. In another life, I think I would run my own Texas-style BBQ restaurant.
In order to provide the best care for my patients, I strive to stay at the forefront of the latest research, treatment, and technologies. I am passionate about pursuing my faith through outreach in my church and the local community. I will carry this commitment over into the culture of my office. My biggest goal is to impact not only my patient’s smiles but also their lives. I look forward to the honor of meeting you all.

We have six children: Kendra 26 married to Ricky, Alex 14, , Karlee 13, Spencer 12, Mia 11, and Amber 10. We live in Peoria. We love music! Stacy sings and plays the piano. I sing and play the cello. I love watching Drum & Bugle corps perform. You will find us at soccer, baseball, and gymnastics activities.
I attended several schools to prepare me for dental school. I started at Glendale Community College and moved on to BYU in Provo. I came back to Arizona State University and finished at Phoenix College. I attended the University of Washington Dental School in Seattle, WA. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1995. While in dental school I did research in gum disease and presented it in Chicago at a national research meeting. I was given special awards in TMD (a jaw disorder) and Oral Medicine.
I have been practicing for over 18 years. I am looking forward to meeting each of you as you come into our offices. Since graduating, I have practiced mostly in the west valley, but came back recently from Atlanta, GA. I stay current with advancements in Dentistry. My interest are implants, improving smiles and helping all my patients to feel comfortable receiving dental care.

Spending time on my uncle’s farm driving a tractor along with my cousins and four siblings in Richland, Washington, I was raised with small town, good solid values. I am the oldest of the children in our family, and this meant to me lots of responsibility that I had to learn quickly. Part of those responsibilities has included learning how to make people feel comfortable no matter what situation they are in.
My wife was my high school sweetheart. She has been a hair stylist in North Scottsdale for the last 3 years. We don’t have any children yet but our 8-year-old Chihuahua named Blitzen is our pride and joy right now. He loves to bask in the sun and bark at anything that breathes.
We love to binge watch shows, eat out at great restaurants around the valley and constantly search for new food adventures. I’m also a huge video game nerd and was world ranked on Halo2 way back in the day. I still play video games but wake surfing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter gives me a lot of pleasure. I stay shape by hiking.
Helping my patients reach a level of comfort is one of my big goals. Eliminating the anxiety they feel at the dentist’s office and having a calm experience is what I hope to bring to every patient. Because of the strong connection between oral health and systemic health, I always seek to inform my patients about this so they can use it to their advantage to reach their goals of overall health and happiness. The ability to boost someone’s confidence with that perfect smile is another satisfying aspect of dentistry that I love to provide.
